So, how do you pass on your culture and tradition to grandchildren whose culture and tradition is always in danger of being crowded out by yours?
How do you give loved ones room to be themselves?

love it — very sensitive — great question — do you take your ice cream in a cone or a cup – could be one of the contemporary four (questions)
That makes me laugh!
Roger,
Just like your sermons, you are smooth as silk. What extraordinary people you as and Jacquie are, showing us the way to be humble and accepting. And, good onya, moving to Queens, NY, to be with the kids. (Hard to be with both). I hope the grandchildren know how lucky they are.

Roger, Great just great.
The men’s chorus I sing in did their Christmas concert in the Maltz performing arts center. I was struck by 2 things, the number of “Christmas songs” we sung in what once was a large Jewish temple. And 2 the fact that this chorus is comprised of 99% gay men performing in a house of worship when many of them had been shunned by organized religion. I’m not sure what to make of this but I continue to think/pray about it.
Ken, both of those are fascinating observations!
